Accra: The European Union has welcomed the presidential election held in Guinea on 28 December 2025, describing it as a decisive and long-awaited step towards ending the political transition. The EU expressed its readiness to continue a long-term partnership with Guinea, emphasizing the mutual interests shared between the two entities.
According to European Union, the organization has called for subsequent elections necessary to complete the return to constitutional order in Guinea. The EU stressed the importance of these elections being conducted in an open, transparent, and inclusive manner, further solidifying the nation's democratic processes.
